The Redevelopment Agency has approved preliminary plans for a combination hotel-retail complex and senior citizens housing project at the southeast corner of Washington and Rosemead boulevards.
The long-sought project will include a 154-room hotel with two restaurants, 18,000 square feet of retail and office space and 168 housing units on a 15-acre site.
The agency unanimously voted to approve a 180-day exclusive negotiating agreement with Calmark and Guildhall Investment Co. to pursue the project.
