Geoff Brabham broke the Road Atlanta track record with a speed of 126.711 m.p.h. lap in a Nissan GTP prototype to win the pole for today’s IMSA Camel GT sports car race at Flowery Branch, Ga.
John Nielsen of West Germany qualified a Jaguar XJR-9 second at 126.416, and reigning Camel GT champion Chip Robinson qualified a new Porsche 962 third at 125.095.
