Construction will begin in March on a $30-million renovation and expansion of Indio Fashion Mall designed by McClellan Cruz Gaylord & Associates and developed by William J. Stone & Associates.
Expansion will include 110,000 square feet of new shops and common areas, and an additional 113,000 square feet that will include a multiplex cinema, a 50,000-square-foot J.C. Penney and 37,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space. Total square footage at completion is estimated at 600,000.
A design focus is an existing barrel-vaulted ceiling at the main entrance and skylights throughout the mall. Leasing is being handled by the Riverside office of Coldwell Banker.
