Farrell, Crawford’s Roommate, Is Also Off UCLA Team

Kerry Farrell, a freshman wide receiver from Piscataway, N.J., has left the UCLA football team, a school spokesman said Saturday.
Farrell was a roommate of Willie Crawford, who was convicted last month of theft and last week was suspended for the 1989 season. Farrell was with Crawford last June when Crawford, found to be in possession of a stolen credit card, was arrested in Beverly Hills, according to a police report.
The report also said that police later discovered that a stolen telephone credit card was used to make calls to New Jersey and that when police called the numbers, those answering identified themselves as friends of Farrell.
Farrell, 19, does not face criminal charges.
Terry Donahue, UCLA coach, could not be reached for comment.
