Nuclear Plant Contract

PITTSBURGH — The U.S. Department of Energy has awarded Westinghouse Electric Corp. a $50-million contract to continue designing an advanced nuclear reactor plant. Westinghouse will match the DOE funds with $50 million of its own money combined with grants from the Electric Power Research Institute, a Westinghouse spokeswoman said.
