Antelope Valley Routs Porterville

PORTERVILLE, Calif — Gerald Mitchell ran for 102 yards and two touchdowns and Mike Dalley passed for 143 yards, ran for 79 more and scored two touchdowns to lead Antelope Valley College to a 34-7 win over Porterville.
The Marauders (1-1) gained 418 yards in offense. Eldon Niblett began the scoring with a five-yard run in the first quarter.
Seven minutes later, Mitchell scored the first of his two touchdowns, taking in a Dalley pitch for a nine-yard score. With 6:42 left in the third, Dalley made a nice 16-yard run on a scramble for another touchdown. The extra point was blocked.
With 12:43 remaining, Dalley scored from 36 yards to make the score 27-7. Mitchell finished the scoring with a 14-yard scamper with 5:40 remaining.
