Colombia plans to extradite a second drug-trafficking suspect to the United States, Colombian news reports said, and another reputed narcotics figure has been arrested in Ecuador. Colombia’s largest daily newspaper reported plans to extradite drug-trafficking suspect Ana Rodriguez de Tamayo to Florida. And in Ecuador, police said a leading Colombian drug trafficker, Evaristo Porras Ardila, was arrested and will be extradited to Colombia. Meanwhile, tougher security measures failed to halt the wave of Colombia bombings blamed on cocaine barons, with five people injured in seven weekend explosions in Bogota, the capital, and the western city of Cali.
