Rio Mesa 20, Dos Pueblos 13--Quarterback Henry Wilson scored on a one-yard keeper with 9:45 left, giving the Spartans the win at home.

The six-play, 40-yard drive began after junior cornerback Jamie Liddell recovered a Dos Pueblos fumble. Gordy Abellera’s 19-yard run and Brian Hafer’s 15-yard dash put Rio Mesa (4-2, 2-1) in position for Wilson’s game-winning score.

Liddell sealed the victory with 50 seconds left, intercepting a pass on Rio Mesa’s 20-yard line.

Sal Balsano led Rio Mesa with 102 yards in 21 carries and a two-yard, second-quarter touchdown. Wilson completed six of seven passes for 82 yards, including a 23-yard touchdown pass to Charles Thompson.
