Two new features have been added to The Times’ sports section. Allan Malamud, formerly the executive sports editor of the Los Angeles Herald Examiner and longtime columnist, will write his “Notes on a Scorecard” column, which normally will appear Monday through Thursday but today can be found on C2; Bob Mieszerski, formerly the Herald Examiner’s horse racing reporter and handicapper, will write and handicap for a new Times horse racing page on a daily basis.
