Two people were reported dead and two injured in a crash of a Cessna 182 single-engine aircraft about 4 miles northwest of Brown Field Wednesday evening.
FAA regional duty officer Jerry Acosta said the cause of the crash, which occurred about 7:07 p.m., was unknown. The origin and destination of the plane were also unknown.
The Chula Vista Fire Department dispatched one engine and a rescue rig to the scene.
