CYPRESS : Residents Are Asked to Help Name Park
- Share via
Cypress residents are invited to help name a new park, scheduled to be built at the corner of Denni Street and Ball Road.
While traditionally all of the city’s parks have been named after trees----Pinewood, Peppertree, Oak Knoll and Cedar Glen, for example--this park’s name could reflect a Mediterranean or Spanish heritage, because Mediterranean-style homes are planned for property nearby.
Anyone wishing to suggest a name may drop off an entry at the Cypress Recreation and Park District at 5700 Orange Ave. The deadline is 5 p.m. Nov. 20.
All entries will be considered at the Nov. 21 meeting of the Recreation and Community Services Commission.
