FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — Perini Corp. said its Canadian subsidiary has won a contract to build 118 miles of gas pipeline in British Columbia.
The contract is worth about $59.9 million ($70 million Canadian), said Douglas Halverson, a spokesman for one of the Canadian utilities involved in the project.
Majestic Contractors Ltd. of Edmonton, Alberta, expects to begin work immediately and to be finished by early 1991, Perini said. Majestic is 74% owned by Perini and the rest is publicly held.
Majestic has the mainland portion of the Vancouver Island pipeline project of Pacific Coast Energy Corp., which is based in Vancouver, Perini said.
