With his show continuing to top the Nielsen ratings this season as the nation’s favorite TV show, Bill Cosby sent a telegram this week to NBC Entertainment President Brandon Tartikoff, according to the actor’s agent, Norman Brokaw.
“Dear Boss: I am having a great time with the arrival of the new characters to the Huxtable family. Therefore, new ideas are popping up all the time. May I please do a seventh season? Love and kisses, Bill Cosby.”
An NBC spokeswoman said Thursday that the contract for the 1990-91 season had not been signed yet but added, “I’m sure that if Bill Cosby wants to come back, it’s not a problem for us.”
