Snow plagued the mountain and plains states, with up to 17 inches of snow in Colorado and 11 inches in Wyoming. Snow fell from Amarillo, Tex., to Nebraska and the Dakotas, Oklahoma and Missouri. In the East, snow was reported in parts of New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan. A storm warning was posted for parts of Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky and North Carolina.
