The United States blew a pair of three-goal leads and lost to previously winless Norway, 6-5, at the World Junior Hockey Championships at Helsinki, Finland.
That put the teams in a tie for sixth place. Czechoslovakia and the Soviet Union share first with 5-1-0 records. The Soviets play Sweden, and Canada faces Czechoslovakia Thursday. Canada, third at 4-0-1, can move into first today with a victory over Sweden.
