Playboy Enterprises Inc.: The Chicago-based publisher of Playboy magazine reported net income of $500,000 on revenue of $45.5 million in the second quarter of 1990. Income was a third of its 1989 level of $1.5 million; revenue fell 6% from the year-ago period. Last year’s revenue included a one-time gain of $2.1 million from the sale of LeRoy Neiman paintings and higher newsstand and advertising sales from the magazine’s 35th anniversary issue.
