Direct Delivery Buys Competitor’s Assets: Direct Delivery Service Inc., an Inglewood-based trucking and air-freight service, has acquired the equipment and routes of Sacramento-based Big Valley Express. Direct Delivery, which bought Big Valley’s 130 trucking routes in California and Nevada, declined to disclose the purchase price. Direct Delivery hired about 50 Big Valley employees and now has routes in more than 1,000 cities in California and Nevada.
