Pasadena : Rise in Sewer Fees OKd
Sewer and storm drain user fees will be increased under a measure approved Tuesday by the Board of Directors.
For the average single-family household using about 278,000 gallons of water each year, the new rates amount to $3.72 instead of $3.10 monthly in sewer fees and $18.51 instead of $1.57 yearly for the storm drain fee.
The increases are expected to yield $1 million in the first year to maintain the city’s curbs and gutters, provide increased inspection and testing required by the federal government and finish covering the Eastside storm drain, a 30-mile concrete channel that runs through the city.
