The Caltech Folk Music Society will present John McCutcheon, a hammer dulcimer player, in concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The concert will be in Dabney Hall on the campus near Wilson Avenue and California Boulevard in Pasadena. Tickets are $10.
McCutcheon has been a pivotal force in the revival of Appalachian traditional music and dance. He also plays the guitar, banjo, Autoharp and fiddle.
He has recorded 10 albums and appeared with Pete Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, Johnny Cash and Holly Near.
