A Fly-Fishing Festival You Can Hook Into

Fly-fishing opportunities in close-to-home California waters will highlight Conclave ‘90, the annual festival sponsored by the Federation of Fly Fishers April 7-8 at Airport Marina Hotel in Los Angeles.
More than 3,000 beginning, novice and expert fly-fishers are expected at “California Fly-Fishing Adventures,” the largest fly-fishing-only show in the United States, according to co-chairmen Dick Lange and Milt Huber.
Produced by volunteer members of the FFF, the not-for-profit exposition will benefit Southern California conservation projects.
The show will feature continuous fly-tying, casting and 50 commercial displays of new equipment, fishing destinations and angling art. About 100 volunteers representing 25 fly-fishing clubs of Southern California, Southern Nevada and Southern Arizona will participate in the demonstrations.
Hourly audiovisual programs will be presented on the Klamath/Trinity rivers, the High Sierra, Manzanita Lake, the Merced River, McCumber Lake, trout, salmon, bonito, shark, albacore and more.
