A 16-year-old Simi Valley boy was in custody Friday after leading police on a high-speed chase that ended when the vehicle he was driving crashed into a concrete wall in the San Fernando Valley, authorities said.
The boy, whose name was not released because he is a minor, was not injured in the accident, Simi Valley Police Lt. Bob Robbins said.
The incident began about 12:30 a.m. when officers on patrol spotted a car with only one headlight at the intersection of Los Angeles and Sequoia avenues, Robbins said.
The officers pursued the car east on Los Angeles Avenue to Kuehner Drive before continuing onto Santa Susana Pass Road, Robbins said.
