VENTURA : Crash Victim Still in Critical Condition

A Ventura woman who was thrown from a motorcycle that crashed on East Thompson Boulevard remained hospitalized in critical condition Tuesday, authorities said.
Cheryl Bujanpa, 35, was admitted to the intensive-care unit at Ventura County Medical Center with broken bones and internal injuries after the accident at 7:34 p.m. Monday.
According to police, Edward Parone, 35, was driving his Harley-Davidson west on Thompson at a high speed when he lost control near Kalorama Street. Both Parone and Bujanpa, his passenger, were thrown from the bike.
Parone suffered minor injuries for which he refused treatment, police said.
