Firm Sued Over Wine Bottle Holder: International Corp., a Canoga Park firm, has pilfered a patent on a wine bottle holder and is selling the product illegally, a federal suit alleges. Creative Cellars Inc. in Ft. Washington, Md., and Petty Settles & Lawson, a Pleasanton, Calif., marketing consultant, claim to hold patent rights on the bottle support, which they began marketing in 1985 under the trademark Bottle Butler. The suit seeks to stop the new product’s sale and demands damages and lost products. (Case No. 90-5289. Filed Oct. 1.)
