An 80-year-old Ramona woman was killed Saturday when her car was broadsided by a pickup truck after she exited from a driveway and failed to yield to oncoming traffic along California 67, authorities said.
The victim was identified as Anna Irene Grosse.
The accident occurred shortly before 12:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol, when the victim’s car pulled out from a driveway into southbound traffic. The oncoming pickup had no escape route, authorities said. Grosse was taken to Palomar Medical Center, where she was declared dead at 1:31 p.m.
The CHP was investigating.
