Suspect Seized in Slaying of Man Over Girlfriend

A suspect was arrested Monday in the shooting death of a man in the Pacoima area in a dispute over a girlfriend, police said.
Robert Townsend, 20, was taken into custody about 5 a.m. at his home in Lakewood and charged with the murder of Keith Chatters, Sgt. Robert Ontiveros said. Chatters, 22, was gunned down about 7:15 p.m. Sunday in the 13000 block of Fillmore Street.
Ontiveros said the shooting apparently stemmed from a dispute Townsend and Chatters had “over a girlfriend they shared.”
