Israelis continue to use an age-old weapon against the threat of Iraqi Scud missiles--humor:
* Question: How many Iraqi Scud launchers have the Americans hit? Answer: 700 out of 200.
* Against gas attacks: If you see the light at the end of the tunnel, you haven’t sealed your room well enough.
* Local drivers: Tel Aviv residents know three kinds of gas: Nerve gas, mustard gas and step on the gas.
* Then there’s the one about . . .: the Tel Aviv residents who pack up and leave. “We’re doing it for the children,” explains one to an acquaintance. Their ages? “Forty and 42.”
