Dukes Expect Sellout Crowd for Strings

NEWPORT BEACH — The first sellout crowd of the season is expected when the Newport Beach Dukes play host to Jimmy Connors and the Los Angeles Strings in a TeamTennis match at 7 tonight at the John Wayne Tennis Club.
The Dukes (3-5) are coming off a 28-13 victory over the New Jersey Stars Thursday, their first home victory this season. The Strings (6-3) defeated the Wellington (Fla.) Aces, 29-18, Thursday at the Forum.
Elise Burgin, Amy Frazier, Rick Leach and Tim Pawsat will play for the Dukes. Connors, Mary Lou Daniels, John Lloyd and Robin White will play for the Strings.
