Two portable classrooms were destroyed and four others damaged early Monday morning in an arson at Mira Mesa High School.
About 45 firefighters, responding to a call at 3:43 a.m., found flames that were about 40 feet high on the south side of the school at 10510 Reagan Road, said San Diego Fire Department spokeswoman Jennifer Simpson.
The blaze was under control by about 5 a.m., Simpson said. Investigators said the fire was set on a walkway outside the classrooms. Authorities said they had no suspects.
Damage was estimated at $250,000, Simpson said.
