Chadwick Defeats Borrego Springs, 54-21

Quarterback Joe Giaconi passed for 228 yards and three touchdowns and running back Michael Atkins rushed for 100 yards and three TDs Saturday to lead Chadwick past Borrego Springs, 54-21, in a nonleague eight-man football game at Borrego Springs.
Giaconi completed 10 of 14 passes, including three touchdowns to wide receiver Neil Thakur, who had five catches for 128 yards. Thakur’s two 35-yard scoring receptions in the first half helped the Dolphins (3-0) open a 41-14 lead.
