El Segundo 10, St. Francis 7--The host Golden Knights (2-4, 0-1) were hampered by six fumbles, the final one coming with 1:30 to play. The Golden Knights’ only score came on a 13-yard fourth-quarter pass from Rudy Martinez to Brew McGoldrick. Martinez hit nine of 20 for 79 yards.
David Scanlan was responsible for all the points for El Segundo (4-2, 1-0). He kicked a 37-yard first-quarter field goal, scored on a 67-yard second-quarter run and kicked the extra point. Scanlan rushed for 154 yards in 18 carries.
Pat Laurence rushed for 82 yards on 19 carries for St. Francis.
