Police on Monday were seeking 10 suspects in the fatal stabbings of two men and the wounding of a third early Monday outside an El Monte apartment complex.
Police Detective Craig Sperry said police and sheriff’s deputies were called at 12:58 a.m. to the complex at 10060 Valley Blvd. after the three victims, known gang members, fought with between five and 10 other men not believed affiliated with gangs.
“Some words were exchanged and a physical confrontation ensued,” Sheriff’s Deputy George Ducoulombier said. Stabbed to death were Gilbert Telles, 28, of Pomona, and Marco Garcia, 27, of El Monte. Timothy Gonzales, 33, of Pomona was in serious condition Monday at Greater El Monte Community Hospital.
