A custodian was killed in cross-fire between two street gangs outside the Los Feliz area apartment building where he worked, authorities said Monday.
Akram Richa, 28, of Glendale was in his truck Sunday night, preparing to drive home, when gang members from a passing vehicle fired at rival gang members who were outside a building in the 1600 block of North Normandie Avenue, Los Angeles Police Detective Loren Zimmerman said.
Richa sought cover but was wounded in the upper chest and died at the scene, Zimmerman said. Investigators have identified suspects but there have been no arrests.
