Ming Tcherepnin, 80, internationally known concert pianist and teacher. Born Li Hslen Ming in Canton, China, Mrs. Tcherepnin was the only woman in the first graduating class of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and the first Chinese pianist to perform at the Prague International Music Festival. She continued her studies in Europe, where she married composer and pianist Alexander Tcherepnin, who died in 1977. She performed in Egypt and throughout Europe before moving to the United States in 1950. She taught at De Paul University in Chicago and continued to teach privately until last summer. On Nov. 4 in Watertown, N.Y., of ovarian cancer.
