In the Mesa (Ariz.) men’s basketball tournament:
Cypress 80, Macomb (Mich.) 65--David Boyle scored a season-high 27 points for Cypress (12-5) in the consolation semifinals. Boyle, a sophomore transfer from Holy Cross who graduated from Mater Dei, made nine of 16 shots from the field.
In nonconference women’s basketball:
Orange Coast 69, Pasadena 59--Colleen Hatch scored 18 points and Stacey Giem added 16 as host OCC (13-6) stopped a three-game losing streak.
Golden West 81, Grossmont 59--Sophomore center Jenny Sullivan scored a team-high 22 points on 10 for 15 from the field and added six blocked shots and 13 rebounds for visiting Golden West (15-4).
