World and U.S. record-holder Janet Evans qualified for the Olympic Trials in the women’s 400-meter freestyle at a pre-Trials qualifying meet at Federal Way, Wash.
Evans was clocked in 4 minutes 12.06 seconds--far slower than her world and American record of 4:03.85--at the King County Aquatic Center.
