Dangers of Condom Ban

The Oxnard Union High School District has backed away from one of its most important decisions ever, kowtowing to a small minority of parents of the children they serve, rather than the children themselves. In prohibiting condom distribution in the schools, they have endangered the lives of countless young people.
And what a confounding, double-edged message is being sent. The school district and the parents who pressured the district into this decision are willing to risk the lives of these young people over one mistake that they may or may not make. They would rather see them dead than protected.
They should be ashamed of themselves.
