Prosecutors and attorneys for New York Yankee pitcher Steve Howe have signed a proposed plea agreement in Helena, Mont., to head off Howe’s trial next week on one of two federal drug charges. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kris McLean said the agreement was submitted to a U.S. magistrate.
