Uwe Preissler, a former East German Olympian, won the third stage and Dave Mann of Britain retained his overall lead of the Tour Du Pont at Stroudsburg, Pa.

Preissler, 24, edged German professional Rolf Aldag by about one foot in completing the 118-mile Pocono Mountain circuit race in 5 hours 1 minute 42 seconds.
