Former Smith Barney Analyst Pleads Guilty: John Collins, a former research analyst at Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co., pleaded guilty to three counts of securities fraud. Federal prosecutors also charged G. Albert Griggs Jr., who was formerly a high-yield bond analyst for mutual funds at Keystone Group Inc., with two counts of securities fraud in a criminal information. Griggs is also expected to plead guilty to those charges, prosecutors said.
