Voters often complain--with some justification--that campaign coverage focuses too much on who is winning and who is losing, without providing enough information about the candidates’ stands on issues.
That concern is one of the reasons The Times is using a good bit of space to print extensive questions and answers in key Ventura County races that will be on the June 2 ballot.
You will be seeing a number of those Q&As; in the coming week as the county moves toward an election that includes three races for the Board of Supervisors, two Assembly races, one state Senate race and two congressional races.
We have already published the Q&As; for the 1st and 3rd supervisorial districts, the 35th Assembly District, and the 19th Senate District.
In case you missed any of the Q&As; that have already run, I would be happy to send you a copy. Just send a stamped, self-addressed, business-sized envelope and a note giving the number of the district or districts. In stamping the return envelope, assume that each questionnaire weighs one ounce.
