Two for the Road: Twyla Tharp and Mikhail Baryshnikov have just announced a 35-city collaborative tour of the United States, Canada and Mexico--but, so far, Los Angeles is not on the list. Michael Blachly, acting director of the UCLA Center for the Performing Arts, says UCLA is in ongoing negotiations for possible performance dates at the end of the tour--which begins Nov. 30 in Texas and continues into February--but needs financial backing from a private source to make it possible. The itinerary at this point does show a stop in Berkeley on Dec. 4-5, and in Palm Desert on Jan. 11.
