CHULA VISTA : Preacher Denies Molestation Charges

An Illinois preacher who heads a fundamentalist Christian church pleaded not guilty Thursday to five counts of child molestation in attacks that allegedly occurred in a Chula Vista hotel room and in a Southeast San Diego house owned by his church.
The Rev. Lloyd Ray Davis, leader of the First Christian Fellowship Church of Waukegan, Ill., made his plea before Superior Court Judge Frederic L. Link, who set trial for Sept. 9.
