Vern Williams, 75, a radio news anchorman who began working for KFWB when that station converted to an all-news format in 1968. Williams had worked in radio in Boston before coming to Los Angeles and station KABC in 1962. At KFWB he covered national and international stories. On Monday in Burbank of lung cancer.
