It Definitely Wasn’t a Commercial Success
- Share via
About 3 1/2 weeks ago, there was an article about Reebok’s Dan and Dave commercials in The Times. I found it interesting that there was a picture of Dan, and another of Dave, but they both had the Nike name on the front of their shirts. I also found it intriguing that after Dan O’Brien “no-heighted” in the pole vault at the Olympic trials, he put on a pair of Nike Air shoes.
This all leads me to wondering: Was Dan paid by Nike to flop in the trials? How soon will the Reebok executives who thought the Dan and Dave commercials would be a big success be fired? And did Dan and Dave sing “Instant Karma” in the Nike commercial?
