SEPULVEDA : Man Sentenced to 3 Years in Torture of Worker
- Share via
A man was sentenced Monday to three years in prison for the torture of a window installer who was stripped naked, covered with honey, shocked with a stun gun and thrown into a pen of Rottweiler puppies.
Jeffrey Shephard, 31, was also ordered to undergo a mental evaluation. Superior Court Judge Bert Glennon will then review his sentence.
Shephard was arrested with four other people in connection with a 1990 attack on Ronald Henry, 24. Another man pleaded guilty to false imprisonment and was sentenced to three months’ probation.
Henry was installing windows at a home that Shephard was building in Sepulveda when he was attacked because of Shephard’s suspicion that Henry had stolen equipment from the work site, prosecutors said.
