Cerritos : Collection of Bulky Trash Items Offered Year-Round

Cerritos residents no longer have to wait for special trash pickups twice a year to get rid of broken water heaters, old sofas and other bulky castoffs.
The city has amended its trash collection agreement with Calsan Inc. to allow customers to call year-round to have bulky trash picked up. Loose building materials must be in containers to be collected.
Vince Brar, public services director, said the new collection method will allow residents “more flexibility for the pickup of special items. They don’t have to wait several months for the cleanup week.”
