LA PALMA : Council Candidates’ Forum Is Tonight

The Chamber of Commerce will hold a City Council candidates’ forum at 7 tonight to allow residents to question candidates.
Five of the six candidates have agreed to appear at the forum, said chamber President Jim Kitano. Council candidate Christian L. Basquette told the chamber that he could not attend, Kitano said.
Basquette, Wally Linn, Eva Miner, Jacklyn and Richard Polis and Duane Schuster are running to fill three seats on the City Council. The election is Nov. 3.
The forum will be at the La Palma Community Center, across from City Hall, at 7821 Walker St. It is scheduled to last about two hours. Candidates will make opening statements and then field questions, Kitano said.
