College Diversity Hiring Coordinator Selected

Jose Quintanar, director of the Amnesty Education/Citizenship Center at Glendale Community College, is now also the coordinator of the campus Staff Diversity/Affirmative Action program.
Quintanar will try to hire culturally diverse faculty and staff and maintain district compliance with the Employment Opportunity Act, the Civil Rights Act and the State Affirmative Action Plan.
A former Glendale College student, Quintanar joined the campus staff 12 years ago teaching English as a second language. He joined the Amnesty Center in 1987.
