Former child actor Todd Bridges on Thursday was ordered to stand trial on felony drug and firearm violations, a Los Angeles district attorney’s spokeswoman said.
A Burbank Municipal Court judge also ordered Bridges, 27, of Sun Valley to return to Pasadena Superior Court on March 12 for arraignment, spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons said.
Bridges faces up to nine years in prison if convicted on one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of transporting a controlled substance while armed with a handgun, officials said.
Burbank police said they found methamphetamine and a loaded 9-millimeter handgun in Bridges’ car when he was stopped there Dec. 29. Police quoted Bridges, who has a history of drug-related convictions, as saying he had borrowed the car and did not know what was in it.
