Kesterson Pitches 15th Shutout for Saddleback

Laura Kesterson pitched her third shutout of the tournament and the 15th of the season as Saddleback beat Golden West, 5-0, in a winners’ bracket semifinal Monday in the Saddleback softball tournament.

Kesterson allowed three hits. Saddleback collected 11. Three Golden West errors in the third inning led to four Saddleback runs. Jodi Mercer had three hits and Angela Wolf had two hits for Saddleback (20-9).

Saddleback plays Orange Empire Conference rival Riverside at 2 p.m. today. The winner goes to the title game and the loser plays Pima (Ariz.) College at 4 p.m.
